55. Not a Gold Mine.

Dream of finding lost treasure almost came true recently. A new machine called ‘The Revealer’ has been invented and it has been use to detect gold which has been buried in the ground. The machine was used in a cave near the sea-shore where-it is said-pirates used to hide gold. The pirates would often bury gold in the cave and then fail to collect it. Armed with the new machine, a search party went into the cave hoping to find buried treasure. The leader of the party was examining the soil near the entrance to the cave when the machine showed that there was gold under the ground. Very excited, the party dug hole two feet deep. They finally found a small gold coin which was almost worthless. The party then searched the whole cave thoroughly but did not find anything except an empty tin trunk. In spite of this, many people are confident that ‘The Revealer’ may reveal something of value fairly soon.
Bukan Tambang Emas. Bermimpi menemukan harta karun yang hilang hampir menjadi kenyataan baru-baru ini. Sebuah mesin baru yang disebut ‘The Revealer’ telah ditemukan dan telah digunakan untuk mendeteksi emas yang telah terkubur di dalam tanah. Mesin tersebut digunakan dalam sebuah gua dekat pantai laut di mana-konon-bajak laut yang digunakan untuk menyembunyikan emas. Para perompak sering mengubur emas di dalam gua dan kemudian gagal untuk mengumpulkan itu. Berbekal mesin baru, pihak pencari pergi ke gua berharap untuk menemukan harta karun. Pemimpin partai sedang memeriksa tanah dekat pintu masuk ke gua saat mesin menunjukkan bahwa ada emas di bawah tanah. Sangat bersemangat, partai menggali lubang dua kaki dalam. Mereka akhirnya menemukan koin emas kecil yang hampir tidak berharga. Partai ini kemudian mencari seluruh gua menyeluruh tetapi tidak menemukan apa-apa kecuali sebuah batang timah kosong. Meskipun ini, banyak orang yang yakin bahwa ‘The Revealer’ dapat mengungkapkan sesuatu yang bernilai cukup segera.
